It is the home of the Earl and Countess of Haddington.

How to get there:
By car: Turn left off the A6089 Kelso to Gordon road, 6 miles north west of Kelso. Signposted.

By public transport: Regular, if spasmodic, bus service from Kelso to Galashiels via Mellerstain.

Seasonal opening details (2006):
Easter � 4days then:
1st May to 30th September daily except Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
Sundays only in October

Opening Hours:
12.30pm to 5pm, last admission 4.15pm.
Gardens/Restaurant/Shop 11.30am to 5pm
(House and Gardens open for booked parties at any time)
