Description: This cottage, the but and ben where Scotlands's international poet, Hugh MacDiarmid (Christopher Grieve) lived with his wife Valda from 1951 until their deaths in 1978 and 1989, has been restored to be exactly as it was. It is now a registered museum and home to a writer-in-residence.
